Whether you’re building a new piece of technology, a new snack or a signature service, getting the features, functionality and experience right makes all the difference. But because customers judge products in context—based on how well they solve their problems and surpass existing solutions—standard product development research is often too late and too abstract.

An iterative, relationship-based, process

Product supercharging: Early-stage concepts benefit from iterative rounds of feedback and improvement to fine-tune product briefs that designers can work with. We co-create with end-users in research community mini-sprints, virtual and in-person workshops to make sure you’re on the right path, to build clarity and confidence.

Feature prioritization: We couple creative qualitative techniques with product analysis methods like KANO and conjoint to avoid design-by-committee over-design, to identify optimal feature sets, and guide product lifecycle management with data-driven roadmaps and insights.

Product evaluation: To narrow design choices, we deploy agile and iterative programs of focus groups and product validation testing to stress-test your concepts, design routes, packaging and details like CMF, to arrive at best-fit solutions you can take into prototyping.

In-person product labs: We obsess about creating actual environments that get customers as close as possible to real-life, from paper prototypes to 3D mock-ups via VR. Our creative team develops stimulus to make it more customer-friendly, while our lab approach tackles the say-do gap through mission-based, outcome-oriented testing to identify what to twist and tweak.
